As an individual who has a life threatening disease, I rely on many different forms of support to help me cope. I am blessed to have loving family and friends who lift my moral up through fun, laughter, support, and prayers. Without the love of my family and friends my journey through life would be much different and harder to say the least and I feel I would not be here today. Another thing that makes me who I am is my strong belief in community service and helping others. I pride myself on helping others and going into my community and giving back and getting to know people and about their lives. There is one specific thing that I draw on for my livelihood and that is my huge commitment to my own life. In 3rd grade I was asked by one of my classmates, if I was going to die. My reply was simple and shows my commitment to myself and others. My reply was “I don’t know, but I promise you that I will be back to school.” I love my life and I am grateful I have a life to live everyday.Veronica's Story Feeds

Veronica, you may not know me, but I've heard of you. I felt compelled to write you a note to demonstrate my support for you during this time. One of your crazy cousins said you were a fighter and I didn't know what a fighter was until I read this wonderful blog. Thank you for sharing, as this is a testament of who you are as person and now, your story is being shared with all my family and friends. I never knew someone could impact my life without ever having met them.
Please understand that you impact everyone you touch and those touches are not all physical but through the kind and warm thoughts shared by your family and friends, especially your crazy cousin, who I cannot identify. You've made a believer out of me and as a new mother, I only wish that my daughter will have the same strength, determination and authentic heart that you have.
As difficult as it may be to talk about it, thank you for sharing and making a difference.

you are the possibility of love. There may be people around you who do not know how to love or forget to say I love you or maybe afraid to say it and love is definately one of the many incredible things you bring to this world.

Congrats Veronica...I AM SO PROUD of you! I understand why you felt like crying. It's like you regressed but no one ealse knows what you are going through.
They all have normal issues, we have tumors. So, you are stronger, braver, and determined. You don't let your problems get you, you attack your problems.
I love what you said in your summary, “I don’t know, but I promise you that I will be back to school.” This is a testament to your dedication. I love you and understand all that you are going through.

Buddy! I am so proud of you and you have come so far. It was truely an amazing site to see you lead the 500 graduates of SMC out into the graduation ceremonies, I have never seen you walk so proud and so tall! I love you and I am honored to be able to bring a smile to your face when you are sad.

From the few exchanges that I had with you, I can't help but to love you. You have to get used to the fact that you are a magnet for love. What is there not to love about you? So I agree with Kathy that you may try to push us away but we will not go. We are here to stay with you.
